“I was taken aback when Ms Vincent demonstrated not only a thorough knowledge of family law (to be expected) but also the same kind of drive and accuracy of advice that I have been getting from my long-established corporate lawyers. I was especially grateful that Ms Vincent made herself available via email (sometimes outside of normal office hours) and often at short notice.”

Family law FAQs:

Not necessarily. Many family matters can be resolved through negotiation or non-court dispute resolution (NCDR) such as mediation, arbitration, early neutral evaluation for a third party, collaborative law etc avoiding the stress and cost of court.

However, if matters cannot be resolved, the court may be required if there are disputes over children, finances or safety concerns. Our family lawyers  will always explore amicable options first, while ensuring your rights are fully protected.

The court’s primary consideration is the child’s welfare. Judges take into account:

  • The child’s wishes and feelings (depending on age and understanding)
  • Emotional, physical and educational needs
  • Any risk of harm or exposure to abuse

Our family team will ensure that the divorce process is handled correctly and fairly on your behalf. Our family lawyers and can:

  • deal with the divorce process from beginning to end;
  • Advise you on financial settlements and property division arising out of the divorce
  • Ensure children’s needs are prioritised
  • Avoid mistakes that could delay the case or affect your rights

Divorce is not just about ending a marriage. We focus on protecting your future and your family’s wellbeing.

Fees vary depending on the complexity of your case. We provide an estimate at the outset and before each court hearing, so you always know what to expect.

Disbursements, such as court fees or specialist advice, may also apply and you will be notified in advance. We are committed to offering a 30-minute free initial consultation.
