David Hardy is the Head of our Private Client department and Partner of the firm. He has extensive experience dealing with all aspects of estate administration. This includes dealing with high-value estates, estates with a foreign element and advising on Inheritance Tax.
David has supported many individuals and families with all aspects of Will drafting. He regularly advises on Wills incorporating complex trusts and other provisions, the preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney and the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney.
David is known for dealing with matters in a sensitive manner, at what is often a difficult time for clients. His thoroughness and attention to detail helps clients feel fully supported and that their interests are being protected.
David studied Applied Physics at university originally, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree, before completing the Common Professional Examination and the Legal Practice Course (both with commendation).
David qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and worked for firms in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Warwickshire. Eventually he found his home and joined Field Overell LLP in August 2022, becoming a partner in 2025.
